    Difficult "Quantity" setup?

Hey Guys! Second Thread here, and this is something ive been putting off (As im new to Actinic)

On my site i will be supplying sheets of Rubber membrane that get cut to any size, how can i implement the following to this product:

    1. Customer able to input the size of rubber they need
    2. Actinic to work out the M2 (Square meter) and use this as the quantity

So when i get the order through, it wil calculate the price being quantity 1 equal to 1 Square meter.

If you need an example i can link something. Its a simple calculation but getting actinic to do this is to advanced for me!

I think you might need to contact forum regular 'Norman Rouxel' who sells an an add-on called "Sell by Length or Area", I think this will do what you require, unless others can think of an alternative.

My Sell By Length Or Area add-on might help.

This allows you to sell items where the price is calculated from either:

The exact area ordered. Price calculated per square metre.
The length needed to be cut from a roll. Price calculated per linear metre.
The perimeter of a rectangle. Price calculated per linear metre.

You can set variables per product that control:

The units required (M, cm or mm)
The descriptive name to use for the "Length"
      The maximum length allowed
      The minimum length allowed
The descriptive name to use for the "Width"
      The maximum width allowed
      The minimum width allowed

The JavaScript that does the price calculation can be tweaked to allow for more complex calculations at additional cost. E.g. perimeter price plus enclosed area price.

      Email me for details.

Hello Norman! This sounds like exactly what i need!

All i need is for my customer to be able to input 2 dimensions (EG, 5m x 5m)

And for it to work out the square meter (in this case 25m/s), then the 25 would be the quantity as it is sold by the square meter.

Are you able to send me some info on this, i will need a price, how difficult is it to install (Im totally new to actinic)

Am i able to set it so the customer can only input numbers in increments of 5, as we only cut to the nearest half meter. Or am i asking too much lol?

Please send me an email to majorgfx@hotmail.com

        Thank guys!
