Exporting Orders

I have Actinic and Actinic Link set up to export orders into Sage and have been doing this for years and it works fine. I want to continue doing this. However, I would also like to be able to export order information as a .csv file which is not to go to Sage, for importing into carrier software for booking despatches/printing labels. I can't find a way of doing this which does not involve changing the file locations/settings for exporting to Sage back and forth each time I want to export to Sage or not, which would involve changing the settings upteen times a day. Any suggestions? Does anybody else do this?

Sorry, this is just an assumption. Are you using DPD courier? I mean, i used to have it set up so you can export a CSV to the DPD Import folder, to print the labels.

Actinic can export orders to csv but will product more than one file (this is the data that sage uses to import the orders). There is no way to change the format of the info exported.

Our plugins can be setup to export to a single file though and also have courier links, more details and free trials here :

Yes, but can I do both?

Thanks for your answers. I am aware that I can export .csv files, and that I can also get add-ons for specific carriers, but I want to be able to do this without having to change the settings for exporting into Sage. Are you saying, Jan, that your plug-in will enable me do both without changing any settings?

Hi Sarah,

It is a completely separate program to Actinic and accesses the database directly, so you can use it to export to different formats without changing the settings in Actinic for exporting to Sage. We have a lot of couriers setup in the software already, which one do you use?

That is good news. We are in the process of change, from using Interlink, Yodel and Royal Mail, and it is not yet confirmed what we will be changing to. It may be Global Freight Solutions who use a number of different carriers, but we are not yet set-up with them.
