    Order Synchronisation II

I run two actinics, one at home for content, then upload the snapshot at work, where I use this one for orders alone, having upgraded to v11 I notice the new synchronisation option in the business settings, mine is currently set to 'off' as I dont want to download orders at home, BUT it IS auto downloading orders to the home pc, looks like every now and then and upon start up!
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any remarks

Is it perhaps being imported with synch enabled?
Make sure that before you take the work snapshot you disable synch and then afterwards re-enable it. That way when you import it it does not have synch enabled.

        Ps:

PS: Why this option has been put in this design tab > designer options, that I would never have found in a million years is beyond me, why is it not in the syncronisation options in settings?

Do you want to auto download? yes / no

Another one for the ignored Wish List *rants*
Thanks in advance for any remarks

It is to stop half asleep designers uploading / downloading clients sites when they are working on them - the first thing any designer will do is untick these options to prevent a mess on the live site.

Been there and got the trophy for that one - never again

Or just remove the password from network settings!

When it goes back you then have to rely on the site owner knowing what the password is - some - mentioning no names <ahem> Dan </ahem> don't even know what day it is let alone FTP passwords

I add a word in capitals into the domain name for the site FTP and email addresses.

Almost came knocking on your door yesterday Dan as sledge locked in shed and unable to find the key - my lad was desperate to go sledging. He ended up doing his homework instead. He loves me so much
