Exporting Catalog V11 and Importing it into V9 Anybody ?

Are you saying that you are planning to use older versions of the software that you have upgraded to run different shops?

I'm not sure why you get those orphans, you will need to compare the formats of the two files versions and see what is different about them.

I presume you are licensed for multisite, if not then using older versions that have been upgraded may be against the licensing.

Ok...so I got the licencing bit totally wrong then...? Can you use a Multi-Site version on different computers?

So this would mean that every time we upgrade, it makes the previous version license void ?

I always upgraded slowly using some sites in upgraded version, and some other in the previous version...please enlight me ..?

Strictly speaking I think that multisite may be installed on two different computers, one for designing and the other for order processing unless you have multiuser. You can of course have multiple domains with sites.

A single site licence though of course is different because the software can can be only used on one domain. So when that license is upgraded then the site should be upgraded and the older version no longer used. For example you shouldn't buy a v10 single site licence and then upgrade the software to v11 and then use the v10 software for one site and the v11 software on another site.

If in doubt it would be best to confirm with Actinic.
