Importing products advice

Hi friends,

Im having relative success importing products using a flat file import csv

however, wondered if anyone could help with a couple of queries...

1. How to you set the Product Page Layout at spreadsheet level.?

2. I want the website to show tax inclusive prices but when i import its show tax
exclusive, how do i change this, again at spreadsheet level ?

Your best bet would be to export the catalog and look at the product lines data. Spending a little time getting used to hierarchical files will be very useful.

Also, if you want an example flat file import, use the Actinic flat file import format from my product mash plugin, this includes all (I think) of the available fields in a flat file, so you will easily be able to see whether that is sufficient and also have a template to use. There is a free trial so it won't cost you anything to do this.

Re prices, you have to import them in the same tax mode as you have set on your catalog - perhaps you could use a calculation on a spreadsheet to convert them.
