VAT Inclusive Prices in Shop, Exclusive plus shipping plus VAT then total in Cart/CO

Probably not possible , but:

Client wants VAT Inclusive Prices in the Shop, but VAT Exclusive Prices plus shipping plus VAT then the total in the Cart and the Checkout.

So basically how to fool the checkout into displaying as if the prices in the store were VAT exclusive! Anyone got close on this?

Problem is hat many other ecommerce sites do this so it is hard to defend why Actinic doesn't.

I'm not sure what you're asking for. It sounds like you want to use VAT exclusive prices with 'Show prices inc VAT' enabled for the product pages.

This has been Actinic's standard way of working since it started (or at least as long as I can remember).

Sorry not to be clear.
Showing Compact Taxt inclusive prices in the shop it is these prices that appear in the checkout with a note (including VAT) underneath the total.
If you look at http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk the products have tax inclusive prices but when added to the cart you are presented with the price ex vat, the vat and the total.

The client wants VAT inclusive prices in the shop.
ie: Product Price £96
He wants the checkout to show:
Product Price £80
Shipping £20
VAT £20
Total £120

It is on a default site too whether using Standard Tax Inclusive Price Layout or Compact layout. I'm guessing it's something in your settings or a customisation.

Try going to Business Settings> Order Processing and ticking 'Tax exclusive prices' under 'preferred invoice format'.

Thanks Mike. Hadn't got as far as printing. If we could make the checkout or at least the email to the shop owner look like that I might have a chance of pleasing the client!!!

Your customer can get what he wants by entering tax exclusive prices and displaying vat inclusive prices for the products. Is there a reason he doesn't want to do it that way?
