Customer Login problem.

Had an email earlier today from a regular customer who couldn't log into his account.

So I tried my "test" account and what happens is when you click "Existing customer login" in the checkout, you are redirected to the /acatalog/index.html page.

Any pointer as to what I have done to cause this would be appreciated.

Have any layouts been modified recently and has customer login worked successfully in the recent past? A site URL with the test account details would be helpful for us to see what might be going wrong.
