    Google Product Feed

    Hi folks

    Instead of me entering following fields manually into my feed, how do I specify following in catalog?

    MPN (same as ID)
    Product Type
    Availability
    google product category

    Anybody know, ta.

    Ah ha!

    Right then - after further investigation, gawd wish Actinic would make guides a bit better lol

    Used vaiiables and all is well except MPN.

    Need to specify MPN is same as ProductRef - ie the id of the product.

    Anyone know how to assign this new variable so that its equal to another?

    Ta folks.

      There is no doubt a "proper" & easier way of doing this, but after having a similar problem with Google product weight & little knowledge of variables & what not;

      Export cat data, sort it by column A, blow away all rows except product & the product header, copy MPN into your newly created MPN field & then import. It's not very elegant but it works & is quick -you’ll just have to remember to manually enter the MPN into any product added after doing this.

        I'm sure someone who knows Access could code a database update to do this quite neatly. Not my forte I'm afraid.

          With my product mash you can use macros to specify standard field for the google shopping values, it's very easy to do, no need to duplicate data.
