Variable in Extended Info?

I suspect the answer to this is a no,but here goes.

Is it possible to code product variables into the Extended Information box?

What I would like to do is have related products, and also bought items working within Norman's Tabber.

Just an idea I have whilst thinking about new designs when upgrading to V11.

Product variables and Extended Info variables should all be interchangeable in Product / Extended Info layouts.
