    cart total £0.00 (not updating)

    Hi, I have half tackled this problem before and if I recall correctly the problem of my cart not displaying the total (after product selection) is related to the page not being a WWW. page. I'm not sure if this is the actual problem or if it is how I go about correcting it.. I fear that if customers do not see their total that they won't checkout/buy. Am using V11. Any help would be greatefully recieved.

    the cart summary on your website does work.

    If you don't see it then it'll be because you aren't using WWW. when you visit your site.

    2 ways to fix it:

    1. don't visit without using www.

    2. use an htaccess file to redirect any visitors that aren't using www. to the www. equivalent.

    ps. your home link from the logo image doen't work. I'd suggest you fix that.

      using an htaccess file

      Hi Mike,

      Thank you for you super quick reply. I'm not sure how to do that.. could you run it by me step by step if you have time? also thanks for picking up on my home link from the logo image being broken, not sure how/where to fix that either..

      Thanks again.

      Darren.

        You need to put a file called .htaccess on your website which will control what the web server does in certain circumstances.

        This has been discussed on the forum before (a search for 'preferred domain' or 'htaccess redirect www' should find relevant topics).

        There's also a great deal of information about how to do this on the internet that you can use for reference if you need more info.

        Mike

        PS. Your header image has this code:

        <a href="www.raptor-cctv.co.uk">
        <img src="acatalog/security-cameras.gif" width="925" height="184" border="0" alt="Online Catalogue" title="raptor-cctv.co.uk Online Catalogue" class="logoimage">
        </a>
        Which is a relative link so the browser is adding the base reference to it. I don't know why it's broken but it needs 'http:' in it.
