We were attempting to move a newly created section to exactly where we wanted it to sit in the web site "tree" (when it was created it showed up near the top, we wanted it to be one of the last sections shown). When attempting to move it into place, Sellerdeck quite literally just dropped some of the other sections.
Completely.
Gone.
There was quite literally no error message. The missing sections did not end up anywhere else in the site, there was literally no trace of them at all. In addition, when comparing the snapshot prepared before we were working on it this morning to the snapshot made yesterday, the newer backup is about 25% smaller by file size than the snapshot from yesterday - lending credence to fact that the data is in fact gone. Note that the newly created section did not vanish, but most of the sections that were below it in the tree vanished - but oddly enough not all.
Now, luckily we are crazy with backups, but it still cost a few hours of work since the last snapshot. Does anyone have any ideas what happened to the data? I just find it odd and a bit scary that simply rearranging a section can have this happen.
