    Offsite image Storage

We have a lot of photos on our site with a maximum size of 600 x 600 pixels.
I was thinking of putting a link from our page to the original high res images held on another site. My question is, what other photo storage sites to people us that make it easy to link to them. I have had a look at PhotoBucket and Flikr but they seem to generate cryptic links to the files.

Tinypic or imageshack.us is all ive ever used.

Why cant you host the images on your own server and link to them?

I will check those two site out - thanks for the reccomendations.

The reason I don't want to host them myself if purely down to the size and number of them - 4000 photos at many megabytes each adds up to a lot of disk space.

Why are you hosting hi res images anywhere? There is no reason a 600x600 image should be more than a few kilobytes - hi res images are not needed on a website as monitors only display at 72dpi. I hate to think of your page file size if your images are all several mb!

If you read my original post you will see that we don't have any high res images on the website for the reasons you mention.

When you sell jewellery then the photograph is the most important part of the site and we often email customers high res photos if they want to see more detail.
