Sales Promotion

This from a client: please can anyone help me to formulate an answer?

. How do other Actinic sites operate a storewide or product category ‘sale’ promotion and other general multi product price offers. I am aware offers have to be set up in product groups and discounts but is there a way of changing multiple pricing to show new and old prices as is required for a ‘sale’ promotion?

Stikethrough price

We needed something like this, but I think a lot simpler than what you are looking for...we have strikethrough prices, although for single products that are on promotion, that Duncan Rounding set up for us..that show old price and sales price on same line.
