Storing the database on a remote server

    Hi

It would be really handy for us to have our Sellerdeck database be accessible from a remote server which we already have. Is it possible to point Sellerdeck to import and export from a remote server instead of the local PC? That way with the CMS software we use on the server, anyone will be able to import orders easily from the server. At the moment only the person with Sellerdeck on their machine (me) can import orders to the CMS.

    Cheers,
    Steve

I haven't done this so no idea if it will work, but you could try setting up the sellerdeck drive on your PC to be a virtual drive located remotely. It would definitely run slower though if it does work.

Thanks I'll give it a go.So you mean install Sellerdeck itself on the Server and access it through a virtual drive on my local PC?

Sellerdeck will be perfectly happy with the database on a separate server, provided it's on the same network and the appropriate permissions are in place
