Sellerdeck Catalog - Updating Stock

Hi,

Since I have started using sellerdeck I have had trouble doing my stock, basically now everytime I want to update my stock I have to - Export site, open in excel, use formulas to match the products and change the current stock status, and also I have to keep a seperate database for my unique descriptions as every time I export, paragraphs get chopped from them, so once again I have to use formulas to get them all back. It currently takes me about 45 minutes to update my stock maybe longer.


Is there an easy solution for me to update stock, I don't have the external data feature on my software which I have been told that would of made things easier.

Does anyone else have this problem?

You don't need to export / import the entire set of product data.

See the built-in Help for Updating Existing Products Via An Import where it shows that you only need 2 required fields (Section Text and Product Reference). Those 2 fields plus the Stock in Hand one would be enough to do an Update Import and alter only the stock.

Keep a spreadsheet containing these fields up to date with stock levels (and update it with new products when they arise) and you only need to import it when your stock changes.
