Flat file import & sub-sections

I am trying to update a site with the flat file import.

I have a section "Shop By Brand" underneath this are the brands.

I have a sub-section called USN Endurance underneath Shop By Brands. When the Section Text field is USN Endurance it creates a new section at the top level. When the Section Text is Shop By Brand | USN Endurance it creates a new top level section called Shop By Brand USN Endurance.

Does anyone have any ideas on this one?

It's not a good idea to have spaces around the "|" separator. You'll be creating a Section called "Shop By Brand<space>" which will be different from "Shop By Brand".

That works perfectly.

Does anyone know of a way of importing more that 255 characters in a flat file as excel seems to truncate text more than 255 characters.

You can either update Excel to a later version or rather install Libra Office open source alternative.
