    Customising the search feature

    Hi,

I have a website which is just a catalogue, and is used by our customers to view the products we sell. I want to add a search feature where a customer can enter a part number that they have to see if it links to any of our part numbers.

As of now I have made a searchable variable with all the possible part numbers that our customers could possibly search for each product, and the result would show the short description of all the possible products that its matched.

    For example:

If a customer searched a serial number (ABCD1234) for an intermediate shaft, the results would show many different links to the products it has matched.. ( click on the link to see http://d.pr/i/QTeU )

What I want is the end result to simple show the "part number" that is linked to what the customer searched instead of a list of all the links to the products.

    Using the same example:

The part number that is linked to the intermediate shaft is "IJP-7013" which can be found in the product table... ( click on the link to see http://tinyurl.com/p3e3ust )

So ideally what i would like as the result to show is something like this.. http://d.pr/i/e2dX

    Thanks in advance!!
    Baz
