import error logs

Can anyone tell me where I can find the error logs created during file import? And, if possible, what the file name is likely to be.

If you're talking about the File / Import then the logs are optional. If you choose to create one, it's up to you to choose the file-name and location. Location probably defaults to the Site folder.
