Have the enclosed error message and cannot shut down

In a default site that variable should be true/false. Are you able to open the software and menus?. You can check the Design Library Variable ReCAPTCHA is set to "EnableReCAPTCHA" and that it is enabled in the Settings. Then try Housekeeping and Compact Databases.
