Product added twice issue

Hi all,

A bit of an odd one. We have a client that has a sellerdeck 11. It has developed the following issue.

You go to the site for the first time. You go to a category page. You click on a Add to Cart link.

You get a pop up saying the the browser will need to resend the information you have previously submitted to display the page.

If you click on OK, you are taken to the Cart - but there are 2 of the item you tried to add in the cart.

If you then continue to browse about and add things to the cart it work without issue.

Come back to the site in a day or so, and the same issue occurs...

Any clues?

I wonder of it could be that you're entering the site without using www. and a redirect to www. causes the request for the form to be resubmitted?

Hi Mike,

Good point! But just checked and we have htaccess sorting that out such that the user is always on the www.

Strange.

IE 11 asks for the form to be submitted => 2 in cart. Then just 1 for everything else.

Chrome doesn't even ask for the form to be submitted and just puts 2 in the cart straightaway.

Hmm. Have to think about this.....

You have custom cookie Javascript in your layout which reloads the page. Temporarily remove it then test. Also if you are using external Javascript make sure you add a fix see: here.

Super - so, I need to find out what refreshes the page on first visit - will remove the bit suggested and let you know what happens.
