    Long delay on submitting orders

    Hi there,

[I'm sure this has been raised before, but I have searched and can't find the original post. If someone can let me know, I'll delete this one.]

When people checkout on any of my stores - specifically when they press the button to confirm their order - they get a delay that can be up to a minute long. As a result of this they often press the button more than once, which doesn't result in accidental payments, but does generate extra bogus orders and emails.

The shops are otherwise fast - the problem only occurs at the final step.

For example, on www.ursulajamesstore.com after clicking the final checkout button, it changes from 'Confirm your order' to 'Saving your order' and then sits there for ages, before completing correctly.

I just tested it with a freeby (using a coupon to get a product for free) and it still occurs.

    Can anybody help please?

    Thanks,
    Phil
    Kind regards,
    Phil Benjamin

You are probably using 1&1. They are based in Germany and German law requires them to put a 20 second delay on the sending of emails. Search for e.g. oneandone email delay and you'll find many in the same boat.

      Thank you

You are correct, but I'm going to leave this thread here as I've used different search terms.

The link to the correct thread is: http://community.sellerdeck.com/show...d1+email+delay

I notice that there is no SellerDeck solution offered yet, only workarounds - including one from you Norman. Decent of you not to try and plug your solution but it looks like I will have to go down that route anyway.
      Kind regards,
      Phil Benjamin
