I think many of us will keep the v8 (offline) as an ongoing project for a while until we get the hang of it, and get our current (error heavy) old school v7 'sites all tuned in to the new frequency that is Actinics Design Wardrobe (v8).
Anyway, enough of the waffle. I've noticed a big demand for the marketing side of things to improve (in Catalog) which seems to have been addressed this time round, well done for recognising and acting on this. So here's my tip, I don't think there would be any problem importing a snapshot (with all your current customer data) into v8 when its released and using the facilities in v8 to create your mailing lists, etc. Even though your v8 site in production/development/stalled development isn't actually online.
Any problems with this? Good or bad idea?
