Paypal button problems

I have the V8 DW extension installed and am building a non Actinic site which requires the instalation of Paypal buttons via DW. The buttons go in ok but if I try to edit one the V8 extension trys to open Actinic and crashes DW.

Anyone else noticed this?

I just inserted an image into a DW page, and then clicked the icon to take me to fireworks to edit it and it was fine. (Both with actinic v8 open and closed)

There does not seem to be a problem with images just Paypal buttons as they are not really images. They seem to be activating the Actinic extension when they are selected for editing within the DW properties tab. I wnder if it is some conflict with the scripts they run to link to Paypal?

Hi Malcolm,

I've tried all sorts of operations with both Actinic v8 open and closed and nothing untoward has happened.

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 with the Actinic extension plugin.

Im using the WebAssist Paypal extension, that and the Actinic extension may be conflicting. I will report it as a possible bug.

This was a bug and was fixed in Version 03 but is now back with Version 04

Hi Malcolm

I've tried to replicate this, but with no joy - please tell me if I am going wrong:

1. Installed the WebAssist 4.1.0 Paypal Toolkit
2. Closed Actinic
3. Started Dreamweaver
4. Created and saved a test page
5. Switched to the 'PayPal' insert bar and inserted a PayPal 'Buy Now' button.

Actinic didn't start when I inserted the paypal button - this is working correctly isn't it?
