One or two glitches (bugs?) appeared today

Hi

1 Anyone else tried to change the colour of the font etc in the design view of the "privacy policy" tab from within the design layout screens?

I know how to change it via the source but it does not work within these screens (on brochure or cat)

2 Undo button does not work, just sits there as does the redo button

3 when importing a site snapshot, if you have customvars, you loose the layout/properties tabs from within the product pages

4 changing from content to design is fine, but from design back to content takes forever

5 several runtime errors when trying to import a clean layout catalog from V7 to V8 (or the same as problem 3)

I am using the production trial version of designer at present.

Hi Daren, Malcolm,

I've just tried this on the Terms page (Shipping and Handling) by clicking on the Preview Page layout and then in the Layout pane, right clicking on the highlighted SHCharges - edit appearance - then altered font colour and this worked correctly! The undo button also shows my alterations and allows me to reverse out of the alteration.

I'm also using the trial version Designer package.

Just tried Undo as above and it works fine in my licensed Bus MS. Also don't have any issues with it being slow changing from design to content views.

Undo button not working all the time on my machine, and also a friend is having the same problem.

It's when you do a HTML code edit, if the edit is wrong the 'Undo' button works only sometimes. By clicking on the 'content tree' and then click undo seems to make it work again.

I've also been trying the colour change/undo/redo and it all works fine - but then, I don't have the same data in my store as you do.

Just to clarify, if you move away from the Design tab for any reason (such as going to 'Business Settings') which will clear the 'undo stack'. Undo will only work while you are editing layouts via the Design Tab. It might be worth checking for this.

Otherwise, there could be a weird glitch where particular upgrade scenarios, design components, operating systems, other applications cause this feature to have issues. I'd like to help get to the bottom of it, but it's tricky on the forum. I suggest working any annoying glitches through with the support team http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm. They can at least help pin down what is causing the issue.

The colour undo/redo is working fine, but it's when you do a HTML code delete and try and undo that, the undo only works sometimes.

Have you tried deleting some HTML and undo-ing the delete?

I can't figure out the undo function either, whenever I try to use it it says 0 items to undo.

At present this happens when editting the actinicstylesheet

If your doing a HTML edit in 'Design Mode' if the Undo doesn't work first time, what I do is click on the product you are editing from the 'Content Tree' on the right to reset the product and the Undo works then.

Tried that on both my installations and both are not working fully, looks like a little glitch onto the 'to do' list for V8.01

Hmm. Here is what I do.

Click on a product description.
Just after the 'ProductDescription' variable, I type 'Hello World'.
Click 'Apply'.

Now - the Undo is disabled here. It looks a bit fishy and I will report this to the team. However, if I now re-select the product description, Undo becomes active and I can undo my change.

So it seems maybe clicking 'Apply' loses focus on the design, so Undo is disabled. Could you chaps have a go and confirm this for me?

Makes no difference at my end. Ever since the first beta I have never been able to undo.
