    Unspecified ShopID

    Hi all,
    i am using a trial version of actinic 8 hosted on actinic trial servers. There are a few issues.
    Firstly, when you type in the long trial url, all seem to work fine except the checkout. When you go to checkout, it says, 'Unspecified Shop ID'.
    Secondly, i have a domain which i have a forward/redirect to this trial url. The redirect is set to mask the target url. So when you type in my url, the shop loads, but when you click any links that go via the cgi-bin, the above error occurs. However, this only happens on IE. All other browser, netscape, opera etc work fine. But again, the checkout problem still persists regardless of how you arrive at the shop, i.e. via the trial url or via the redirected domain.
    Any ideas on how to resolve the issue?

        Hi there

        I get no errors at all going to your site, so it looks like the problem is with IE on your machine.

        Could you try clearing your cache in your IE browser and then in Actinic going to 'Help | Troubleshooting' and click the 'Purge Session Files' button.

        That will get you up and running.

        I suggest not bothering getting the redirect working until you are onto proper webspace as the rules for getting this sort of thing working are different when using trial hosting.

          I am having a similar problem here relating to the 'Unspecified ShopID' issue. I am using the trial software. I have gone to 'Help' - 'Troubleshooting' option and selected 'Purge Session Files'. None of this has helped.

          I get the 'Unspecified ShopID' error message when I click on my trial shops 'Checkout' link. My trial shop is http://trials.actinic.com/trials/trial32703/index.html.

          I get the same results when I view the shop in IE. This problem started happening when I requested that the site use SSL.

          Please can you help?

            James - you need to turn the SSL feature off as this won't work on our trial server. That only works if you are uploading Actinic to your own web server.
