Import V7 site smart theme problem with fragment page

Uploaded snapshot from V7.06 to V8 lattest release

Smart theme in V7 all ok

Imported to V8 looks OK then updated theme to Best Seller

On home page the main section pictures which displayed in the middle of the page in V7 now load up at the bottom of the best seller page

I used Fragments to make the page under the home page and applied a table in the text file

New fragment shows fragment layout as
    act..textandtitle(upgraded)

You can see what i mean on the home page at
    www.british-nurses.co.uk/acatalog/test/acatalog

OK - click on where it says 'Welcome To British Nurses' in the preview in the Design tab. It should highlight your 'act..textandtitle(upgraded)' layout.

    Remove the
    <tr><td colspan="3" valign="top">
from the start of the layout and remove the
    </td></tr>
from the end of the layout

    That should do it.

Got this to work ok with smart theme on 8.0 but now trying with executive theme in v8.0.1 and applying these does not solve the problem as shown in

      C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Sites\British Nurses\PreviewHTML\P_SiteRoot_index.html

          Can anyone help

          Test site at http://www.british-nurses.co.uk/acat...est/index.html

All pages work ok except the home (index) page and Embroidery, they both have the main centre of the page starting after the end of the left side tables (best sellers)

Also how do i reduce the descriptions in the best sellers to 10 words, I have looked at the AUG where it talks about it on page 17 but cannot find where this code is ment to go and what is deleted

Have checked the site links and it all appears normally for me on both the index page as well as the embroidery page. As for the workaround Go to the design tab, click on one of the new product descriptions and the window at the bottom of the screen will show the markup code - Highlight, product description, just deleted it and paste the workaround code into it's place.

            Kind regards,

              Bruce

Thanks for the info I will try it out

When you checked the site did you find the index page had the large table of sections showing at the top of the page or was it below the best sellers list, and the same for the embroidery as on my pc it is showing this way whilst the rest of the pages show correctly,

I dont think it's a catche problem at my end.

                Chris,

They appear normally at the top of the page where they should be with the best seller list running for quite a way below them on the left hand side.

                Kind regards,

                    Chris,

Looks like you are having the same problem as me, looking at your test site the products and sections are all showing under the best seller and sections list, making the page very long and empty at the top. Viewing in firefox does show the layout better but messes up all the top header and logo the same as mine, if it helps I did find that reducing the size of the logo helps with the layout a bit but firefox still doesnt like it

If you find a resolve please let me know and i will do the same, it seems that the top header block needs to be deeper but i cant find the code to do so.
                    Many Thanks

                      Chris,

With thanks to a post by Bill I have solved the problem in firefox with the top layout. If you go to the design tab and in Select View Type go to Actinic Style Sheet on line 264 change the height (in my case to 85px) this allowed the logo to sit above the nav buttons and sit properly in both IE and Firefox.

Hope this helps. And Thanks Bill!!
                      Many Thanks
