Upgrading....?

Hello,
I am thinking of upgrading to version 8, will there be issues with the site template when upgrading? and what are the major upgrades and new features?

Also is this release stable?

Your changes that you have made in v7 when you upgrade will be retained, but your templates will be converted to new v8 'layouts'. You will need to check your design after the upgrade to see whether it is working as you need it to.

A few niggles but nothing catastrophic. The first maintenance release will be out in a few weeks to deal with the issues that have been reported in the field.

After upgrading several v7 sites v8 I have found the main niggle is some of the templates being re-set to the default facroty setting - the main navigation bar being the most obvious. A full log of any changes and issues is made during the upgrade and well worth looking at - which I expect many are guilty of not always checking - myself included
