Upgrading to 8

Is it worth me just uninstalling actinic from the main computer and installing it on an older one, then buying V8 and starting fresh to enable best optimisation and setup, rather than using the current one?

Also, with V8, would there be the Product Group option in Acatalog?

Product groups are available in business in V8.

V8 can be done as a stand-alone install - when you install v8 it will ask if you want to upgrade an existing site from an earlier version or install v8 - go for the latter. I've got v8 running OK on the same machine as versions 5, 6 and 7.

Once v8 is installed, you can always have a go at upgrading your existing site, then if it doesn't work just uninstall v8 and reinstall it. Your existing site will be unaffected as long as you don't remove the files from its Site1 folder.
