Actinic on Windows Vista

Hi Everyone

A couple of things

1) i Use Windows Vista on my computers and have had alot of problems getting my actinic V7 + V8 to work,

the problem was that it did not create a site1 folder! it just kept saying

delete or rename the current site1 folder or something like that,

so i attempted to get round this buy manually creating a "site1" folder and then upgrading the actinic from download.

this worked in a fashion, but i spent ages solving security issues and stuff like that, after about 12 hours work i finally got this working

i even managed to do a upload www.pro-euro.co.uk

but then i got the devil of all problems now.

When i try and open actinic it asks me for the "site1 password"

Where or who decides on this password? i no nothing about it and cant guess what it is, i have tried everthing that i could have entered in anywhere on my system

its would seem that there is one problem after another!

I have both these versions running on windows XP no problems

Have i been wrong in thinking that i can run it on Vista?

does anyone know what im doing wrong, or i have been hoping on too much for this to work on Vista

I normally find that if I have not explicitly set a password, the best one to try is

blank.

Have you looked up the Vista support forum to see if it is a common occurence with other software?
