brochurepagelist

Sorry a really basic question but I can't seem to find the answer on here or in the help files.

I want the brochure navigation and section list to appear as if they are one list down the left hand side of every page. I've added brochurepagelist to the template above the toplevelsectionlist but can not find where I can make brochurepagelist use text links rather than images.

That will be determined on what is set in Settings | Site Options | General | Brochure | Brochure Page Link Layout, use the drop down to select an appropriate layout to use, in your case 'Text Brochure Page Link'.
