Problem in v8.0.1

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately, we have discovered a problem in v8.0.1 that will affect everyone upgrading from v7 or earlier.

The problem prevents the shipping drop-down menu from appearing on the web site and has already been fixed internally. We will be releasing version 8.0.2 in the next few days.

If you are in the process of upgrading your v7 (or earlier) site and use the shipping calculator, then we recommend that you wait for the new maintenance release before going live.

This problem does not affect customers upgrading from v8.0.0 to v8.0.1 and also does not occur for deploying new sites.

There was talk of 8.2 having a clean install feature when upgrading from V7

Can you confirm this will still be the case?

Hi Chris,

Not in this v8.0.2, I'm afraid, as we want to release it as quickly as possible to allow customers to upgrade from version 7 with the shipping calculator working. The planned specifications for v8.0.2 have now been passed to v8.0.3, scheduled for release in a few weeks, and the feature for reverting an upgraded site to default layouts is currently included.

Just to be clear is this the drop down that occurs when people are going through the checkout stages? Or one that is used when people are selecting a product?
