      Re 8.0.4

Is it ok to upgrade Multi-User?

Of course - 8.0.4 is available for all editions of Actinic.

Currently running 8.0.3.0.0.0.GLCA, speed is an issue however, it so un stable, falls over at a drop of a hat, actually you don't have to drop a hat it has crashed!

Have download the 8.0.4 hopefully that is more stable.

Receiving intermittent error message "Actinic is out of memory" .. or similar words ... this was whilst editing basic code in the design tab (not switching tabs) .. this happens 4 times before Actinic closes.

            MultiSite v8.0.4
            2gb RAM
6 sections, 3 products, 1 fragment, no brochure pages (still designing)

Apps open : Actinic v8, DW 8, Outlook, Thunderbird, Firefox (I often also have Photoshop CS2, CorelDraw, IE6 and Actinic v7 open... but not when receiving the error so system can handle heavy loads)

            Any thoughts?

              Bump

              Received same error today.

Open programs : v8.0.4, Firefox & Outlook only
              2gb RAM
              ACD size for comparison 2.7mb

              Actinic then closes after error

I thought is was just me. This happened to me a few days ago. I'm running 804 - can't remember what programs I had open but nothing more than normal (Actinic, OUtlook, Avant, DW, PS CS2). I've got 4Gb RAM (more than windows can use!) seems there may be a memory leak in Actinic.

                  Hi Jont & Duncan,

If this happens again, can you please make a copy of the error, run an 'ActDiagnose' and save the results, then drop me a note and let me know so that we can take it from there as I will need either a snapshot or the DB.

                  Kind regards,
                  Bruce King

                      Hi,

If anyone is still having an issue with speed when the preview window is enabled, it's worth checking to see if you have Windows Script Debugging enabled. Look in Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced tab, and make sure the "Disable Script Debugging (other)" box is ticked. If not, tick it, and try Actinic again.

I had this problem, and it took a little bit of investigation to find out how to fix it (so simple in the end though!). Hope this helps someone.
