    Newbie Question

I know I must be doing someithing really wrong here but I despite looking everywhere for the answer I'm still stuck. All I want to do is link some text on my index page to another page, for example click here to go to xxxxx with here being the link. The link tab of the fragment details suggest that I enter [LINK] in the text field but whenever I do that [LINK] acutally appears on the website rather than the text I text I entered in the "link text" field of the fragment details link tab.

Also if I ftp a csv file into the public directory how do I link to a file rather than another page or product?

    Any help is really appreciated!

    Richard,

In the page where you are wishing to put the link - enter text or whatever -
i.e. To visit our menagerie [LINK]

Then, on the Links tab enter Click Here and then the url where you wish the link to go.

    hth,

    David

Thanks but this is exactly what I am doing. My website has the following text in it
      "
      4) You include a completed returns form in your package. [LINK] to download and print a returns form.
      "

My links tab is ticked with the words "click here" in the link text field and the section radio button check linking to another page. Why is [LINK] appearing on the web page still when it should be replaced by "click here". I'm stumped.

      Help!

Sorry it doesn't work. I tried this in my copy of v8.02 and it worked OK. I suggest that you report the matter to Actinic for further assistance, or try un-installing and re-installing Actinic to see if this helps.

Haha! You just fixed it for me. I've only been using this for a few weeks but you reminded me to check if I was using the latest version. I was on 8.0.0.0, I've now upgraded and it's working fine.

          Thx for helping
