'Contact Us' link on Home Page

I've just upgraded to V8.0.2 and have decided to use a new layout for my site. Previously I only used the Cart and had a CMS front end that worked well. I've decided to now use Brochure Pages / Fragments instead and have the site in one area.

To this end, I somehow seem to have my 'contact us' link only on my Catalog and not on my Home Page, which would seem to be the most logical place to put it. Don't know if this was because I've no unplugges the CMS frontend (Joomla)

I've tried inserting variables into fragments or modifying layouts to include the SendMailTexst variable, but to no avail.

I'm not very techhie, is it easy to add a 'contact us' button to the home page and/or Fragment ?
    Thanks

    Anthony,

While in the design tab, click on the 'Online Catalogue' icon, then in the preview pane, click on the 'Contact Us' button on the navigation, you should now see some code in the layout view below.

Use the yellow swirl with an upward arrow (bottom left hand) to navigate a level up till you see the layout selector (in pink) 'Contact Us Text Link ', right click on this and 'Copy'. Now on the content tree, click on the 'Home' icon and click on the 'Login' link, follow the same procedure till you see the layout selector 'Login Text Link' which should have Actinic:NOTINB2B tags around it followed by a Block statement. Right after this block statement, place your cursor and hit enter, right click and paste. You should now have a 'Contact Us' link on the brochure page.

    Kind regards,

      Contact Us missing ?

      Thanks,

Thats resolved it. I guess the layout/component was somehow missing (or never intended to be ) on the home page.
      Thanks

Yes - include the variable NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBMAIL somewhere in your 'Act_BrochurePrimary.html' (or equivalent) template. That will be replaced by the default 'Contact Us' button.
