Digital Downloads - Dealing with large files

    Hi all,

does anyone have any experience of very large files as digital downloads?

Our client will be offering very large video files as downloads (potentially up to 1GB) and I'm concerned about the problems that might cause when it comes to updating and refreshing actinic. I know the refresh option allows you to ignore previously uploaded digital download files but I've already seen that fail once.

Does anyone with experience have any processes they care to share that might help?

If I upload via normal FTP and keep the files out of my local actinic directory is one option I'm thinking of.

Sorry for the delay in getting an answer to you. I was hoping someone else on the forum might be able to advise.

I would suggest just having the video files in an area that is connectable via an ftp:// connection, and then email the customers once you have received their order with the ftp:// address and a username and password to connect.
