Multi User V8 - One for the admin

Now we have the Multi User V8 can we store all website/s images on the server?
If we have two users updating the website/s there will be occasions when one user will add products and images.
How will the other user/s copy of the site cope with the product images?

    Thanks
    Andy

Multi User allows 1 person at a time to be able to manage the site with additions etc, so as it is deployed within the local network, then the machine which is your Db hub would be the ideal place for the images and the like, then when the admin logsin to do updates to the site, then only he/she can make changes... Then, logout and another can login to do the updates etc, whilst all the time many can do order processing.

        Hi CCT.Darren

        Yes that's right.
I was assuming that the Multi User Version allows multiple users to update products etc... But i'm still a little unsure how Actinic will deal with the file paths.

Best to always keep the images on the main machine holding the Actinic db, as that way you know they are available, otherwise if they exist on a users machine and that is switched off, then you will have issues

If more then one person dealing with the site on more then 1 pc, you will have to keep swapping the site1 folder on to diffrent pc and this has issues...

And can lead to you getting in to a right mess.

Not sure if actinic do a multi machean version you have to ask them..

              Multi user overcomes this..

i.e. users of the MU system connect to the main Db of Actinic, so you store all the files on the main Db machine, so 1 user logs in and makes changes and updates the site... Then, logs out and another with admin permissions logsin and can do updates to the site and update, then logs out, but not more than 1 at a time.
