How do I restore my database?

Actinic crashed after I finished changing shipping info.
Whenever I restart it, it just crashes again.
Therefore I don't have the option to use the built in housekeeping facility.

OK so I figured just need to rename the backup mdb in site1 etc...

wrong - it doesn't work - still crashes, I have faith in the backup as it was made before doing anything with the shipping tables.

Is there a correct manual procedure to make my backup mdb the current version?

I've had a look through the knowledge base but can't find anything on this...

OK, in the absence of answers, here is the answer that worked for me anyway...

I hadn't realised that in addition to the main database there is also one (and its corresonding backup/previous copies) in the folder ShipControl.

As I said it all went wrong after changing the shipping tables (shipping and handling).

I was able to enter actinic without it crashing after I manually copied simpleshippingbackup to simpleshipping.

So my guess is the same should be possible if a similar corruption occurs on the main database and actinic crashes when starting.
