HTML file extensions lost on preview and upload

    Hi,

I have created various new sections, each using their own layouts (heavily modified from within Actinic). When I do an offline preview, files for these sections are created in PreviewHTML, but the 'html' file extension is missing, for example I get a file called 'P_Special_Offers.' (with the dot!) instead of 'P_Special_Offers.html'. The same thing happens when I upload to the web. My sections have the full file name in the 'Page Settings' tab (e.g. 'Special_Offers.html'), and I have tried other extensions here like .htm and .php, as well as changing the file name; none of these things fix the problem - the file name changes but there is never an extension.

The shop home page (Online Catalogue) and all the other default HTML files are created perfectly with extensions (e.g. the default section 'Homeware' is 'P_Homeware.html').

Just started with Actinic v8 yesterday (have been using v7 for 2 months). I still have Actinic v7 installed - could this be the problem?

Any other suggestions? I'm hoping it's something stupid that I've done, that's easy to fix!

    Thanks in advance.

    Just to update:

The database table 'Catalog section' shows the proper file names in sPageName, with extensions.

Another strange thing: I created a fragment with just the text '[LINK]' in it, and in the Links tab added some link text and ticked 'Image clickable' - when viewing this link the text points to the file name with extension, and the image points to the file name without extension!
