    Hi All

    I am sure i am not the only one to have got this message when i look at my orders, i can understand it under the evaluation version but i have just got my CD and Key and it starts up fine

    can someone give me some suggestions or am i going to have to unistalll everything then edit the registry and do a fresh install, bit of a pain in the arse as i have been developing my site with the evaluation copy

    If you are getting this message I assume that its the designer version of V8 you bought. It does not allow the processing of orders - hence the message. To get rid of it you will need to buy a copy of client.

        Its OK Now

        Re-installed it and everything sorted now, not sure if it was because i had been using the development version, but cleared the registry

            No. Designer is just for designing sites to pass to clients, not for order processing.

              I am a business multi site user, i just selected the wrong version when trying the trial of V8, i used to have a developer version in V7 and took this option in the V8

              as Jont said (typed) developer is for site creation / modification not for order processing. If you go for multisite (not multi user) you can develope and use it for your shops to process orders

                Thanks a lot.

                Got another question... I found no email was sent to the customer or the company (email specified in "Business Settings|Company/contact") when an order is placed. I am wondering whether this is because of the same reason? I am using Actinic Designer V8
