I upgraded from V6 to V8 directly, so the concept of coupons are new to me. The install procedure automatically upgraded my database etc.
I don't have any coupons setup, and on the Design/Text settings the 'show coupon box' is visible but unchecked (is it shown under a 'User definable field 2' which doesn't sound right either (and I didn't put it there !). The 'show box' is visible, but not ticked. There is no 'required box' displayed.
During checkouts, the box is visible, obviously I don't want the coupon box to appear on the checkout for Marketing / image reasons...unless I want to actually offer coupons.
Can somebody summarise in a few lines if my set-up is correct and how coupons boxes can be supressed. I would expect them to only appear if there is a coupon record in the appropriate table, and auto supressed if not ?
