    SSL secure and insecure items

    Hi

I've just posted a test site to upgrade from v7 to v8. We have carried out a Site Snapshot import and all went well - but the test site checkout pages are bringing up the pop up alert about secure and insecure items. Can anyone tell us why this happens in v8 when v7 is still running fine?

You can see the issues at

Please reply to the stupid as I'm no techie or programmer but I can follow instructions.

    I've had a quick look
It is likely that the menus top and side are causing the error message.
But as you say your V7 set up appears the same.
Have you compared your Network settings between the two?
Obvious but the first place to look.

Another thing is whether your sites are on the same system or not,
if they aren't then it could be differences in how each is set up

DW design and V8 layout problems CSS/SSL's?

I've been working on V8 and now have a site that works fine when loaded in IE on my laptop. However, when I load it as a test site I get weird layout failures and still get non secure warnings.
If I revert to a standard V8 theme all works fine.

If anyone can have a look and give advise visit http://www.noahsarkgardens.co.uk/aca...test/acatalog/

The designs work fine until you get to the secure pages then loose the CSS design elements, you'll see what I mean.

        Hi,

I've just taken a look at the site and I don't get any 'secure/non-secure' warnings when I go through to checkout and the padlock appears. Are you still having problems? Try clearing your cache to see if that works for you.

          Some solutions

          Hi

Thanks for your comments, I've tried some work arounds that have solved the problems.

I could not get a Dreamweaver layout to work without display errors, so I reverted to an Actinic clean layout and edited the html directly to match my Dreamweaver design and it worked!

It's a bit of a faff because you loose the wisiwig in DW but at least the design now works.

To clear the SSL problem I changed the CGI Script ID No. under Network Settings and this cured the pop-up problem.
