Cascading menu

Hi - does anyone know how to create a cascading/pop out menu? Tried the Yahoo sections, but is not what I want.

The sectionas are pretty messy, so a popout menu with the mouseover would make it a hell of a lot easier to navigate!
Any help?

Preferably with Javascript - I've got a bit of understanding with that language!
