Fragments show in Firefox but not in IE

Fragments on our home page display fine in Firefox, but when the page is viewed in IE, only a couple of them are visible. I have tried changing the size of the fragments, but this has not helped. Does anyone know of any quick fix to this problem?

I am a very amateur actinic user, so a detailed answer would help!!

True enough, Firefox shows the Bison and customer comments and a second bestseller grid in the main layout area

looks to be down to some spurious coding about here
