    Merge Request Upload Error

    Keep getting:

"An error occured while sending the merge request"

Do you think the problem is at my end with Actinic or the server end?

    Thank you for your time

please do a forum search on "merge request" its a very common error.

If the problem persists, re post telling us what steps you took to resolve and we can help thereafter

      Cheers Jo,

      I've changed the premissions on:

      htdocs - 755
      acatalog - 755
      cgi-bin - 755

      Hope the above is correct?

Done a site refresh and also tried the website purge and refresh (with deleting perl .cat and .fil files)

      Still no joy I'm afraid

Also.....ran the teast in 'Advanced Network Setup' but get the following error:

The "acatalog" directory exists but is locked due to the directory's permissions. Actinic can not work with these settings. Press Cancel if you would like to manually change the permissions and re-run the test. Press Retry if you would like Actinic to attempt to change the permissions and rerun the test.

        Can't work it out

            Hi Jo,

Sorry I've taken so long to reply but I had to dash out earlier this afternoon. Well, I have no idea what I've done but it's working again now. I sorted it just before I went out earlier with the acatalog set to 755. I've just seen your post a set it to 777. Everything seems okay at the moment

Thank your for your time and patience
