Product Sections in Best Sellers List

Is it possible to use product sections, rather than products, in the best seller's list? The products I sell are all unique, so there's no point having a list of best sellers, but they're grouped into themed/coloured sections, so it would be great to advise customers which of these sections is most popular.

Although I don't know the answer to this, I would expect the answer to be no.

Bestsellers is based on sales for indivual items , therefore the info is not there for sections.

You may be able to embedsome php to add up the sales though

the best sellers list is simply a format with some special actinic lookups.
nothing prevents you from creating your own code within that layout, and then simply point to the sections you want.

Although the lsit generation is not automatic (reading from the datbase and working out for itself what the best sellers) it will still generate the sort of list you want.
