Separate the names field

Hi All,

Is there a way to seprate the name field, when someone places an order or opens an account, into First Name and Last Name??

Rather than just one field for the complete name.

I have read of a work around here in this forum that involves using the "job description" field as a surname, and altering the display to say surname, with Name altered to First name.

But would this not stuff up the conformation emails etc?

Is there a better way of doing this??

It's something I have asked for before

At present if using the actinic to sage link if someone puts in "Fred Blogs Ltd" as the name it gets transfered to sage as ltdxxxxxxx,i.e. it takes the last input as the surname, and to make it worse the "Company Name" tab does not transfer across either
