Contemporary theme question

This is probably a silly question, which might have been answered before, but I am struggling with it, so there it goes.

How can you modify the overalll width of the layout when using the Contemporary Theme? I need a wider area for my site.

I have tried with "Settings > Site Options > Site > Width for main area", but this does not have any noticeable effect.

My guess is that there must be an option under Design Library or by modifying some CSS setting, but I am unable to find it.

Hi,

I think I found out how to do this by editing the contemporary style settings in the Actinic Stylesheet.
