'#' causes scripts to fall over

We use the '#' sign in some of our product codes which has never been a problem as we used static links throughout the site.

However, with the inclusion if best seller lists etc into V8 we are now having trouble. Any product that has a '#' in it causes the scripts to fall over, either asking for login or simply saying the code does not exist.

Is this a bug or am I going to have to go through and change all the codes in question?

You will have to remove the # from your product codes. There is no variable to generate a static link and like you already know a hash kills the cgi-bin routed url.
