Palette 3 changes nav text and sidebars. How do I only change the side bar colours?

I am using clean layout 13 and tried changing the side bar colours using colour palette 3. This changes them but also the text and border colour for my nav bars.

How do I individually change the side bar colours? e.g. so one is red and one is black, whilst having another colour for my nav button text?

you will need to replace Palette3 with your chosen colour for the side bars only, do this is actinic.css.

Create new classes called sidebarleft and sidebarright and add background-color:black; or background-color:red; then use these classes in the html

      Thanks for replying.

The only problem is that I have had actinic since friday so your explanation is like another language to me!

Could you explain the processes involved like you were talking to a child?

That way I should be able to understand what needs doing, if you can provide me with a 'step by step' guide.

You are entitled to use Actinic support for 30 days. Give them a call and they will be able to talk you through it.
