Customer Accounts - some help needed...

Can someone answer the following questions about how the customer accounts functionality works...

1. Can the store be set up so that NON customer accounts can see the sections list at the side of a store but see no product details until logged in?

2. Or does the customer accounts functionality only allow you to hide the price from NON customers?

3. Can NON logged in customers have fragments hidden from them?

Sorry for the perhaps basic questions, just trying to get my head around the concepts and what can be done with them.

Sorry for the delay.

1. Can the store be set up so that NON customer accounts can see the sections list at the side of a store but see no product details until logged in?
A. Yes, customers can see the section list but will be asked to login to be able to see the contents.

2. Or does the customer accounts functionality only allow you to hide the price from NON customers?
A. You can do this typically in Business, Multi-User, etc, where by if you only to wish to hide the price, you can disable the Retail Price in the Prices tab of the product. The Retail customer would then be able to see the product details but not the price.

3. Can NON logged in customers have fragments hidden from them?
A. Could you clarify if you mean fragments within sections or under Brochure pages outside the catalogue? If the former then they are hidden along with the entire section till the user logs in.
